Jo O’Leary is a New York-based filmmaker and comedian, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. They earned their BA in Film from Oberlin College in May 2026. Their work explores themes of identity, authenticity, and performance. Some artistic inspirations include Superstar (1999), Janet Planet (2023), Dimensions of Dialogue (1983), Broad City, PEN15, and Mary Beth Barone’s Netflix special, Galaxy Brain. They work in both live-action and stop motion animation and enjoy blending the two mediums.
